* Politics: No on Gonzales

I heartily agree with the progessive blogging community, and urge the Senate to vote no on Alberto Gonzales. Torture must be repudiated, both for moral reasons and for our self interest.

Loudocracy

Today I slipped and fell and injured my right arm. It's in a splint and I'm typing this entry left handed. Needless to say, don't expect too much activity here until I regain use of both arms.

I'll keep y'all posted.

If you are a true geek and want to be the first person on your block to see raw images of Titan from the Huygens probe, click here. Some are pretty cool and you will be seeing them soon in regular media, I guarantee it.

* Politics: Inauguration Day Festivities

This dKos diary is an excellent resource for information relating to various inauguration day boycotts and protests.

*** Iraq: What Really Happened In Falluja?

Bottom line, the public does not yet know. There are few journalists who have even been able to enter the city. But see this report from the Guardian for a bit of the story. It seems that all we did was destroy the city and disperse the insurgents.

* Politics

Bush refuses to reimburse Washington DC for security expenses related to the four day inauguration party, which means that the city will have to divert about $11 million from homeland security projects.

DC should just say no, get your own damn security.

* Pop Culture: Who's Your Daddy?

I recommend this Washington Post article on the term "Who's your daddy?" It goes into the history of the term (references to pimps and gay sex) and talks about modern meanings and connotations.
